The popularity of tattooing has reached unprecedented heights.  No longer a dark back alley crevice in a questionable neighborhood, some high-end tattoo studios now cater to a new and upscale clientele. Tattoos have gone mainstream and the largest growing segment of tattoo-seekers is urban women between the ages of 30 and 50. One in five British people now has one; and half of all Americans.

Tattooing has evolved from an anti-social activity in the 1960's to a highly prized trendy fashion statement for celebrities and millions of middle-class consumers.  With this, two separate classes of tattoo business have emerged.  The "tattoo parlor" operates with "pick and stick," selecting standard images off the parlor's walls.

The second, the "tattoo arts studio," features fine art custom work by an in-house tattoo "designer."  Artistry Concepts is such, and features sophisticated imagery and technique, delicacy of detail and aesthetics, and only the finest in pigments and equipment.  We are also an fine art gallery, displaying the artist's work in various art fields for sale to the public.

Whether it is an intricate and complex mural design or a spur-of-the-moment simple tattoo. or one of our invisible or special effects tattoos, rest assured you will leave with a high quality tattoo using only the finest inks.  Our designs last a lifetime and never need touching up.

If you are looking for that custom tattoo to personally express yourself, our staff will arrange a private consultation with our artist/designer.  He will develop exactly what you are looking for.

The ancient art form of the Polynesian "tatau"  is now available exclusively at Artistry Concepts.  "Tattoo" is the western word for this ancient Polynesian term, meaning "open wound."  "Tatau" is an important part of the Polynesian culture, and Artistry Concepts offers this ancient tattoo art form applied with modern equipment.

Florida is only one of a handful of states that require tattoo and/or permanent cosmetics studios be under the supervision of a medical doctor.  Florida requires a state-issued operating permit to be monitored for bio-medical waste removal.  Charlotte County requires an Occupational License.

Both these permits are issued on a yearly basis.  Be sure to check for current licenses at the facility you are considering.  They must be prominently displayed on the wall and don't be shy in requesting to see them.
