researching founder, Mark A. Weston. Mr. Weston is highly respected
for his honest assessment of a client’s options, and their possible
treatment with the
ACHM™.
His
exceptional skills and aesthetic sense are unmatched by any other
provider in the world today.
Cosmetic tattooing was popular over 30 years ago and while visiting and
spending time in such exotic destinations as Hong Kong and Thailand, Mark
learned cosmetic and conventional tattooing in 1979 from some of the
finest tattoo masters in the world.
Mark's wide range of experience in the medical tattooing and micropigmentation fields includes
areola repigmentation for breast cancer survivors, vitiglio repigmentation,
scar camouflage and permanent cosmetics. Mark was one of the first
in the country to tattoo a universal diabetic symbol on the wrist of a
diabetic client. He works with many people who have been
traumatized by illnesses, accidents and their physical appearance.
He has attributed to their transformation and has first-hand seen the
return of their self-esteem and confidence. Mark thoroughly enjoys
helping people and is a professional and caring individual.
Artistry Concepts, LLC was formed in 2007.
While Mark owned three other fine art tattoo studios up and down the
East Coast over the past 22 years, he has settled here in Florida and is
now limiting his arts to hair replication.
Mark performed his first hair replication "informally" about 18 years ago. A close friend approached him and asked if he would try tattooing "hair" stubble on his head. The outcome was remarkable, and Mark had the opportunity to perform more of these "hair" tattoos quite frequently over a 15 year period. But now, Mark has perfected this replication to it's highest degree and is offering this procedure full-time.
Gale Hartvigsen -
Co-Founder/Director
Gale brings just as a
diversified background to the business as Mark. Gale is Mark's
business partner and his "significant other." As as a former
New Jersey police officer with a criminal justice degree, she has the service
experience, formal education and knowledge that contributes to the
understanding and support of people's problems. And
like Mark, she routinely deals with patrons suffering from traumatic
events in their lives,
and is usually the first contact the potential client makes.
Gale enjoys a business challenge and excels at research and development of
new and unusual business concepts. She is responsible for the highly
successful merging of two separate and distinct services--fine art
tattooing and permanent cosmetics. Artistry Concepts has received
national acclaim for the success of this unconventional merger. With
business management, customer service and marketing, she has co-founded
The Artistry Concepts Hair Replication Center.
In
her spare time, Gale enjoys playing pool with Mark and collecting vintage
German-made Steiff stuffed animals. As a member of the Englewood YMCA,
she keeps in shape and is at the gym by 5:30 a.m.
Gale is also an
accomplished horsewoman, and previously competed throughout the
northeastern United States in competitive stadium jumping and dressage.
Although now retired from equestrian competition, Gale hopes to find spare
time and another horse to refresh her competitive riding skills.
